This new 10 week series of 2 hour workshops aims to demonstrate a range of techniques specific to water colour painting. Through examining other artists’ work and becoming familiar with the medium, it is hoped that students will want to practise and develop their skills further.
The workshops are a relaxing and enjoyable way to ‘have a go’ as a beginner or to continue to explore water colour painting; no matter what level of artistic experience you may have.
Some materials will be made available in the first instance but it is likely that students will want to own their own kit:
1 Water colour paints- either tubes or pans. Cotman or Daler Rowney are good makes.
2 Water colour paper: A 3 or A4 and it is best to get 300gsm/ 140lb- Rennies in Bold St will advise (and they offer a discount for students)
