Well ladies we were all certainly WOW'd by WOngs yesterday. 20 of us thoroughly enjoyed our tour arond Wongs Jewellers, a family owned and run business in Liverpool. The hospitality was second to none and we were all amazed not ony at the beautiful jewellery but being shown how it is desgined and created on site. Jenny showed us the technology including how the moulds are milled in wax from images created from the customers wishes and ideas - very clever stuff. Thanks also to Lee and Ben the goldsmiths who showed us around their workshop and Jean even got her ring cleaned into the bargain! Conor our lovely handsome waiter made sure we were never thirsty and the bucks fizz certainly flowed and went down very well with the lovely afternoon tea laid on. Mr and Mrs Wong also welcomed us and chatted to everyone in what was a lovely friendly atmosphere and Dave and Susie were very helpful showing us the latest collections from Calvin Klein and Mi Moneda- there was certainly no hard sell but the jewellery sold itself! A few of us took advantage of the generous discount given to us and bought some lovely pieces and I know there are a few ladies who were inspired to perhaps have some old jewellery remodelled?
Big thanks to Phil Turner for contacting Jan and arranging this for us. Think we would all recommend Wongs after our experience there, worth a visit to their shop on Whitechapel if you are looking for something special or have a look on thier website www.wongsjewellers.co.uk
